I've got a Fox Warrior 50 inch net. I hate it with a passion...it's just too big for my taste and it's extremely difficult to self net fish when fishing alone. Plus the mesh fits so tightly that it was no time before the mesh started tearing up one of the seams.
However, I do like the handle, arms and spreader block. I'm wondering if I can buy a 42 inch replacement mesh and take a hacksaw to the spreader arms to make them fit the new mesh.
I guess the question comes down to: "Does anyone know if the spreader block angle is the same for Fox Warrior nets in 42 and 50 inch sizes?"
I'm not sure if anyone will be able to answer this or not but it's worth a shot.

i would assume it is, and the only difference is the longer arms. if you do decide to cut them, wrap some take around where your going to cut to help keep it from splitting. then i would use some expoy on the ends.

I use the resistance tackle 42" net and arms with there $7 net block. Attached to a custom made 16ft handle made from a painters pole frome Lowes, that I epoxy glue to 10mm nut.We never get wet.and have considered giving up euro-style for direct net baiting with boillies in the bottom of the net.

Been trying to get a set of Fox 50" arms for over a year now--I even ordered them online and they have not shown up for more than a year because they are hard to get hold of. I think I'd cry if you cut them up. Would you sell them?

Failing that, I highly recommend the Free Spirit shallow replacement mesh.

Hmm, I had no idea that these were a sought after item. I'm just trying to figure out the cheapest way to go about getting a quality 42 inch net. I don't suppose you have a pair of 42 inch arms laying around do you? If so I would be willing to trade you straight up. I don't want to mangle the 50's if you''ve been looking for them for so long...I would prefer them to be Fox arms or something comparably sturdy.
If not, we can probably work something out...it may be time for me to just bite the bullet and buy a new net altogether.

OK I just splurged and bought a Fox Carbon Folding net so the arms are yours Tony. I will see what they will cost to ship to Austin or maybe someone from DFW will be going down there soon and can deliver them?
I wish I would have posted this a few days ago as a couple friends ARE going there in the morning but they are well on their way by now.

Let me know how much the shipping will be (zip 78664) and we can work something out on price in addition to shipping! Very much appreciated.
