Is this a shallow fishing lake? Deep cranking? Etc... I've had mixed success but cannot seem to land it like the locals! Lol!

Its a real shallow lake 20' is about the most you will find. If topwater works early we normally have a decent day. If the topwater bite doesn't work it can be a terrible day.

Docks, cattails in deeper water and structure specifically main lake points pay off the best for us. If nothing on the main lake is working you can always run up the river.

I caught 8 fish in less the two foot of water
around 1 pm. I cant believe how shallow
these fish are even when the sun is up.

WE USUALLY fish 2ft or less most of the time, they will eat what ever u put in front of them, every fish that comes to weighin usually has several hook tears in the mouth
