Wisconsin, cool. Buddy of mine stayed in a cabin on a bay right off lake Michigan two weeks ago and said it was beautiful weather there too.

A grinder or something. A welded bearing to your spindle is not fun.

BTW, I took somebody's advice and packed the bearings and hub and set the inner seal on the spare hub. I wrapped the whole thing in a plastic bag and put it in a cardboard box with extra tube of grease and extra bearings, races etc.
That box is now my good luck charm. As long as I have it in the truck I'm convinced I'll never have a breakdown.
