Was going to post this in Boat and Motor but i wanted a larger audience. I bought a Troll Well and was wanting any advice from someone who done this. I'm kinda nervous. It is a 03 Ranger 185VS. Also does jig saw work better than reciprocating saw. Thanks Kevin

I installed mine,
I got a peace of plywood and made a pattern to fit in.
I got a perfect fit on the plywood then I used it as template on the boat deck.
Worked out great. Lots safer than following the instructions inclosed with it.
Can get ya some pics of it if u need.!

I installed a pro controll in my 519 about 4 years ago. Be sure that when you lay it out you get it in the right location for you. Check under the decking for wiring and if you cut it fix it before you install your well. Jig saw is better because you have more controll over your cuts and modification to your hole.Your seat pedistall has a base around it so be sure you allow for it. You need a good fit so do not over cut. Be sure to seal around the lip before you screw it down and seal all screw holes before installing so your screws don't back out or rust out or get wood rot in the holes. Use SS screws and a good marine grade silicone. Good luck.
