I have the Chinook, I like it alot. Not to hot in the Summer, and isn't too cool in the Winter.

I won a Stohlquist at the G2G, it has more pockets but I haven't used it yet.

I like this one myself. Big pockets and a place to put my emergency knife.

Not to hijack or anything but have you looked at the mti Solaris f-spec, its what I wear, I've used a few different ones but this one seems to be the most breathable, best value and best design for yak fishing especially if you paddle an SOT. Just my $0.02.

Lots of choices out there for a sit on top specific Lifevest; Astral, Bass Pro, Extrasport, Kotatat, MTI, NRS, Stearns, & Stohlquist.

When my lifevest gets past it's prime, I'm probably going to go with the Astral V-Eight. I like how it doesn't have the added bulk of pockets that a lot of other vests have for fishing. The venting system also makes it look comfortable.

As with all lifevests you need to try them on before purchasing. Each manufacturer cuts their foam and stitches their panels a little different, so visit your LKS, try on each vest, and have them make sure you're fitting it correctly.

I've got a BassPro currently and I was looking at this one last week at Academy:

But that V-Eight looks sweeeeet.

I use this one. Some folks think it is bulky, but I like pockets, and love all the pckets on this one. The mesh top is cooler as well.

We stock a BIG variety of PFDs from both Stohlquist and MTI, including the previously mentioned Fisherman and Solaris. Drop by the store and try a few on. Be sure to mention TFF.
