Fishing is tough by Falcon standards. The big fish we caught (this past week) were south. A couple of nice ones in the Valeno near county ramp. Trees didn't produce any big fish for us this trip. It was all about the rocks. No grouped up fish though - we had to hunt and hunt for bites.

Good luck.

Just got back yesterday. Nothing like my previous trip. You have to hunt and hunt for a bite. The late afternoon to evening bite was slightly better, only 10-20 fish between 3 people per day. Didn't catch any giants few decent fish. Caught several smaller ones the last night. Hope this helps. Be careful awfully low.

Unless the Falcon watershed get a ton of rain, I'd say Falcon is on the decline big time. 40' low and falling fast. Pray for rain.

It would be easier to pray for the Mexicans to close the gates!!!

Until the powers to be give subsidies to Mexico to preserve the nations premiere bass lake, those gates are gonna flow! I wonder if we could get BASS involved?

Dudes, it wasn't until a few yrs ago that falcon ever got this full. Most of us that have been fishing it for yrs are use to it at this level and lower. The lake dropping is not the problem.

That sounds like you should have just stayed in the A/C, instead of wasting your time on fish like that!

Me and mambo were there Sat, Sun and Mon a.m. You can catch numbers up to 3# pulling crankbaits through the trees. (not past, THROUGH) C-Rig where you can find timber near the river channel got us a few big bites. The water is VERY dirty up north, it clears up once you get far enough south for the lake to get wider. Deep diving crankbaits where you can find some structure in 12-14' plus water.
