I had the opportunity to take my son fishing on August 8th, and I wanted to hire a guide rather than take him in my boat, so I could focus soley on him having fun. I hired Lance Vick, and let me tell you, it was an experience my son, Carter, will never forget. I was worried that Carter would get bored, fatigued, and be asking to go to shore within the first hour of the trip given that he is only 8 years old. Lance had different plans. Within 5 minutes of fishing, Carter had on his first fish, and the addiction started. Lance was very patient with Carter, giving him high fives after every fish, and made sure we were always on top of fish. I lost count on how many we got in the boat, but it had to be around 20 or so. Not bad for 5 hours of fishing! Carter caught several in the 3-5 lb range, one 6 pounder that I have on video, and an 8 lb TOAD he caught on a shakey head. Thanks to Lance, my son is not only spoiled, but cannot wait to get out on the water again.

The picture with him holding the rod and the Fish, has that "yeah I've done this before" look. Hats off to Dad & Lance for making this a special day for Carter. This post is incredible, many thanks for sharing

Lance is a close friend, so I'm biased. But he's also one of the very best guides on the lake and particularly good with kids and novice anglers. Not to mention just an all around good man.
