Ive tried fishing docks with worms and jigs before and rarely get some bites. Any tips on what to use and how to use it would be helpful?

Latteral Pearch!! Never personally tried it only bc j haven't been fishing in a long time. This time of year the Pearch are light colored with a heavy orange. Also a crank bait. The other thing you may wanna do is find docks that have added structure if you have side imaging.

Politicians, baseball players, high-powered corporate CEO's they all seem to eventually let us down. Nature, however, does not. Look to her for inspiration and you will learn the secrets to living a good life. The most Important lesson it would seem is to make sure you spend as much time fishing as anything else.

I pitch a jig most of the time but I'll go to a wackey rig if I'm not getting bit.

Alabama rig......pitching under a dock?? LOL...that will be the last time you see that $25 around here. Lots of cables and metal braces to hang on.

Jigs and senkos!

I've been practicing to skip under docks and the Lateral Perch is perfect for that!

Worms, creature baits, Senko, Super Fluke, spinnerbaits, tubes, jigs and shakey heads all go under docks at one time or another. You can fish anything around the docks.

The main thing is to know that the fish normally use the dock as cover and an ambush point. When its windy or overcast sometimes fishing between the docks is better than fishing the docks.

The guy who can keep the bait accurate and low have an advantage but the ones who know how to pick apart a dock and figure how the fish position around the dock on a particular day usually wins the game.

For all the guys saying jig, is there a special way you fish it? Like pitching it to the back and letting it fall back or what? And is there special color?

I do best with jigs and target the inside corners of a T shaped dock first then work my way around the whole dock. On a straight dock I just work my way around the pilings as far under the dock as I can pitch.

Color jig--a green pumpkin with accents of purple, black/blue/purple, green pumpkin/orange and peanut butter n jelly.
