Are any of you guys fishing frogs this time of year. If so, which frog are you using and how do you work them? I need to learn more about frog fishing and felt I might get help on the Forum. Thanks.

I'm throwing the Picasso shad walker on fork with good success on points with cabbage near deep water. Im throwing it on the bank and walking it all the way back to the boat. Some days they are in the cabbage and some days they are out in open water and the Shad walker walks extremely easily which helps my clients

I'm throwing a SPRO and it's been off and on. Seems like there has been a smaller window of opportunity to get them on a frog this year. I've only had success for the first 30 minutes after the sun breaks the horizon.

Ill start with the frog then I fan cast a buzzbait 180* just to get them activated. Then I follow up with a frog as a more subtle offering. If still nothing, I switch to a popper. I'll stay in that water until something happens before I move down the bank. I'll also occasionally throw in the open water behind me.
The frog then buzz then frog technique has been a great producer.

You can cover way more water with a ribbit. Make sure and use the stanley double hooks. On the hollow body frogs, go with the spro. Either a real bright color or real dark. Time on the water is the only way to learn it. Summer is good but early fall is better.

Get you a Koppers. One of the more durable frogs on the market, as well as very easy to learn how to walk it too. Focus on pauses, that's when I get most of my bites. Also make sure you let the wake settle after it hits the water. A lot of time they'll hit it before you even start the retrieve.
You know the old saying
If it floats, flys, or f___s it is always cheaper to rent!
You have to decide which is more important.

the lft hooks are nothing to call home about they use shrink wrap to hold the hook steady but after one or two cast they come loose and moves around side to side
