It was 19
weeks yesterday since I quit dipping. I'm starting to wonder when I won't think about it anymore. I don't think about stop and buying it but I do wish sometimes I still dipped. Someone out there help me out and some sort of timeline to get to where I don't think about it anymore. I could never see myself going back to being a dipper but it sucks thinking about dipping many times throughout the day.

ex-smoker here - I used the "dismiss & distract" method - when I had thoughts / cravings for a smoke I'd dismiss the thoughts with a thought of "I don't do that any more" and then I'd say the serenity prayer until I got distracted from the self-destructive thoughts enough to move on to what I was doing in the first place.

After almost three years I still have "trigger moments" but I just dismiss & distract - it gets easier, but I really don't think it ever goes away.

Such is the nature of addiction.

19 weeks yesterday I forgot to post but I'm still going strong. It does however seem like its been tougher this week than in the past but I made it through it.

Update for me I haven't posted in a long time and have lost the count. Just know it will be year in the next week or so since I quit dipping. There are days I still think about it but I can't imagine ever putting that [censored] back in my mouth.
