Man sorry to hear that guys. It sure is a shame that SO MANY trucks have been broken into at that ramp and BPS. I guess it's all fun and games for them until one of them winds up laying in the parking lot. I've got to the point of Hubbard that I just leave my doors unlocked and I remove anything valuable. I'd rather them open it up and look then break the windows out to find that I have nothing in there. Tommy, what did the cops say? Are they working to stop it? It's been steady ever since the PAA was in town and it just continues.

I meet with Doug yesterday and he was telling me about it ,man that's is crazy I hope they catch them . Doug was telling me that they got a couple of guns from one truck. So now we don't just have to be worried about getting broke into we have to worry about the guns they have. Rule #1 ... Do not leave guns in your vehicle. !!!!!! If you are fishing a Corp lake. Leave the guns at home. Sorry, that the scum broke into the vehicles. However, anywhere along a Highway is an easy target. Especially, with entrance ramps close by.

All the more reason I stay away from Hubbard. I was with a buddy at Dalrock north public ramp a few years ago. We weren't out two hours in the middle of the day. And, they broke into his and two other vehicles. Price of launching is cheaper than getting broke into, but $10-15? I'll fish somewhere else and catch more fish.

I mostly fish by myself and cringe every time I have to leave my truck and trailer at a ramp, or come back to it at night after night fishing. A man shouldn't have to feel that way in this country and especially in Texas. The penalty needs to be changed for these crimes to death by firing squad,.... at 100 yds. by a squad of blindfolded pygmies using .22 shorts and lots of ammo.

This has been going on for years, my buddy's truck and trailer got stolen there last year. The thieves are sometimes pretending to be bank fisherman, 4-5 of them, they fake fish, watch you launch and get out of sight, then one of goes and watches the launch area to see if any boats are coming back in, another watches the entrance , and the rest break in cars and trucks. I have seen them set up and called the cops but they just go back to fake fishing and the cops can't do anything. Hate to say it or blame any one race for all break-ins, but be on the look-out for groups of 3-5 Mexicans, pretending to fish but talking on cell phones.

Let's set up a TFF Sting. Couple of boats launch at the Queen ramp and run out in the lake. We stage about 10 guys in the Marina parking lot, across that little cove, and watch the rigs. See if we can catch 'em in the act. 2 horn honks summons more guys staged at the other ramp. Then,we converge on the theives, and,uh,"Citizens Arrest" them.

Itll make it to where they have to break a window to get in but thats a whole lot louder and cheaper to fix than a punched lock.

Sorry to hear what happened to you guys. The other sad fact is that it gives more motive to the other thieves that are charging 12 and 15 dollars for a launch.

I've said this before. Thief should know better than to steal more chain than he can swim with. Sorry for your loss man.

This is a sad and funny thread! I am sad for the folks who were violated and lost personal possessions, that sux! I giggle when I read all of these internet vigilantes proclaiming "someone needs to be shot", "hang em from a tree", "cut off their hands", or "we need to set up a sting", and nobody ends up doing a damn thing. If Lake Ray Hubbard is your home lake and it is near and dear to your heart, then do something and get after it!!

Why don't you hunters set up your extra game cams? Or see if the city will set out a bait car or something. It would be a lot of work and if you did catch them or make them pay it would be Obies "My son" all over again. Do you think it is worth it? I say catch them and give them a simple out. Wana go fishing and be friends? It's very relaxing. Then go to 40 feet deep and fish. Whoops, that fella had an accident.
