I live in Rowlett next to the new 190 extension. Rode my bike to the shore of Ray Hubbard from the Rowlett end and can't wait until they are done with it. That is going to be a crappie haven. I noticed they are going to have a bridge going south and north showing plenty of columns. You can get lost in there. It is going to be fun, fun.

I fished those pilings during the early spring and did pretty good. The workers will now run you off if they see you fishing them.

Grainraiser have you tried on some Sundays? I don't see the workers out then. They are out there on Saturdays alot though. I am going to fish the 30 bridge either Tuesday or Wednesday.

If you don't see no workers you should be able to fish the pilings. You do need to watch out for lines hanging from the bridge to the water. Seems the workers fish for catfish while they work.

I'd like to have a job that I could fish and get paid at the same time. Not like a guide though...the public is a real hassle sometimes. Just laid back fishing...set a line , do a little work..catch a fish..do a little work, take a nap, fish a little, do a little work. You get the picture!!! Any openings out there?
A good day fishing is not losing a jig, a bad day fishing is not losing a minnow!

Let me see if i understand this, the WORKERS are running you guys off?Really?Austin commercial is running that site, call and ask for the man in charge of the site.Ask him if its company policy or O.s.h.a regulated.I understand the safety issue, but isn't this like being able to fish a dock?Open water IS open water, there is a long line of pilings out there, if they are that concerned then maybe Austin commercial or O.s.h.a needs to look into safety netting like we do on high-rises.Just my 2cents!!

I am just going to resurrect this ol post, the Bridge is up and running for awhile now. No workers to run anyone off, has anyone fished these bridge columns at all? How is it, I am going to day just to test my luck any input would be greatly appreciated. GLTA

Shawn Z, I have not fished it yet myself but have seen boats sitting under the bridge as I live close to it. Sure some fish are being caught there. Hopefully someone will chime in that has been fishing it.
