I will probably be going to Galveston with a few friends on Friday to do some fishing. Where are fish biting right now? We'll be restricted to bank fishing, and mostly anything would be fine to catch but preferably trout and reds would be nice. Not looking for any secret locations but a general area or popular location would be nice, thanks!

......early morning bite is good on the West End beachfront for trout in the first gut at daylight. Also good fish off the rocks at the end of Cherry Hill.
...so good it tastes like it died screaming!

Man I just got back from galveston. I fished the surf at san luis pass. I had heard you could catchem in the first cut. I got there by 5:30am and fished like hell. I couldnt catch nothing. The water was very stained and muddy. I fished all times of the day for 3 days and was very unsuccessful. Maybe cause it was my first time there but I gave it hell for sure.

Did you see anyone catching anything from the boats? I was there Tuesday. One guy was fishing almost under the bridge, on the Galveston side. He carried on a conversation with a man in a Carolina Skiff. He only caught 2 trout, but the guy in the Skiff gave him some fish. We don't have enough morning tides to move the bait for the remainder of the week. You have to have moving tides.
The birds and the guides follow mr out
