looks like falcon is going to get some water...

Flood Warning

The National Weather Service In Austin/San Antonio Has Issued A

Flood Warning For The Rio Grande At Del Rio.

From This Evening To Tuesday Morning...Or Until The Warning Is Cancelled.

At 8:15 A.M. Thursday The Stage Was 1.7 Feet (0.5 Meters).

Flood Stage Is 4.0 Feet (1.2 Meters).

Minor Flooding Is Forecast.

Forecast...The River Is Expected To Rise Above Flood Stage Of 4.0 Feet Or 1.3 Meters Each Evening For The Next Several Days Due To Releases From Lake Amistad For Power Generation. The River Will Then Drop Below The Flood Stage Early Each Morning.

Impact...At 4.0 Feet...(1.2 Meters)...The Flow Is Overbanks Into Lowest Areas Of The Flood Plain...Threatening To Flood The Road Through The Lowest Sections Of The Vega Verde Subdivision.

Mexico will let it out of Falcon plus more before BassChamps.

Maybe you can just all tie your boats together and fish the channel together. rolfmao All those fools that fell in love with a full Falcon were living in fantasy land. Heck may never be full again, it was only full in the first place because of that dam break in Mexico a few years ago.

Headed to Amistad for Sunday and Monday and this happens. Any suggestions on what it will do to the fishing and how would you overcome the effects?

Pulling water = fish pulling out. I have heard they suspend and I have caught them tight to cover during a draw down. Who knows really....but you can't catch anything without a lure in the water.

Are you sure about this? Does not seem logical that Amistad would release water when it is 25' below pool level. Flooding below Del Rio would certainly add to Falcon but I think Amistad will hold on to water unless they are anticipating a weeks long rain event.

This fool had the best 4 years of bass fishing I could have ever imagined.
