This from the News 8 Austin website: Wednesday morning divers began searching for a man who disappeared in Lake Travis last night.
Authorities were called about 7:30 p.m. after a 26-year-old man fell off the front of a moving boat, just north of Volente Beach. The man evidently had been fishing. The incident is being investigated as a boating accident.
The Travis County Sheriff's Office dive team went out earlier today about 300 feet off of the Lake Travis shore.
Lake Travis, because of low water, treacherous currents, and high population in the area, is considered one of the most dangerous lakes in Texas, especially in the summertime. Mucho cuidado, amigos
I've never killed anyone, but I've read several obituaries with great enjoyment.

I live near the lake and won't fish there in the summer. Place is nuts. Devils Cove - nice views in that area.

Grew up around Travis, Can't say in normal times that there is dangerous currents.
When she's low, there are dangers below, but thats on most any lakes.
WoW, last time I heard Devils Cove was when the man disappeared off his boat at night while fishing with his kids. Don't remember if they had ever found the body back in 97,98.

No, no body at all. a lot of folks think the guy faked his death. This guy wasn't fishing, they were just boating and drinking along. It WAS a fishing boat though. The Game Warden says he fell off the front when they hit a large boat wake at speed and the skeg/prop cut his chest open about level with his nipples. He's number 9 for the summer.
