I got a call from my Uncle this afternoon telling me that his weekend place had been broken into. It appears that they were on foot... the reason I say this is they stole his four-wheeler (hot wired it), only took the guns that had slings on them, took the reels that they wanted OFF of the rods! It's as if they loaded up whatever they could into the built-in storage rack on the four-wheeler and maybe put the guns on their person with the slings. He had 5 game cameras set up, and they did take a couple of them. I sure hope these Thieves are on some of the other cameras! I'm boiling inside, and can't imagine what he's feeling like. This was off a cove on Birch Creek. I don't know the list of items yet (he had a bad signal when he called me), but when I do, I'll post them so maybe we can be on the look out.

Just got off the phone with my Uncle. The items stolen were:

Honda Four Wheeler (2x4 I think it's a late 90's model) it had camo tape on the seat.

Remington 22 rifle with scope

Remington 1100 20 gauge lite (the short model)

SKS rifle

Colt 22 revolver (older model)

Revo STX

3 Abu Black Max

2 game cameras

Orange handle skinner knife and 2 others knives

They stayed long enough to help themselves to Cokes and snacks, left 2 water bottles on the counter. The Sheriff couldn't get prints, said if they are older than a couple days that they couldn't pull them...?? He feels very violated. He is not the type to ask questions... if caught it would have been ugly. We are now going to install a good security camera system. I hate it for you guys. Man this is happening to much around here.I know that I have never seen anyone patrol the lake fork area. I mention this to the county sheriff's office in Emory one time about why dont they patrol area boat ramps around the lake, their answer was it was out of the city limits ! HUH ? I thought that was what county sheriff's are suppose to do patrol the areas with in the county. I guess the thieves know this.

I guess it's going to take several to be shot in the act before others like them realize it's not a good idea to take other peoples property! Very sad!!!
