I just got setup to throw the a-rig proper, bought a Dobyns 795 and a 300E. I have bought some Skinny Bear Swimming Shad Eye and 6th Sense Hollow Core-X to throw on it, but looking for a few other cheap alternatives.

I will be throwing mine this fall just about everywhere I go. I have seen the thing in action catching 2-3 solid keeper fish at a time and have a few fall tourneys where I think it will be the technique that it will take to win it.

So basically anywhere you can throw it without getting hung up? Or do you throw it around brush as well? Deep AND Shallow? I've got some good deep humps with brush on them that I want to use it on, but I can't get a long enough cast for it to be effective.

Throw them in mid to deep water to catch suspending fish. Stay AWAY from brush unless you don't mind spending $30 bucks every other cast. You fish it just like you fish a large swimbait- slow retrieve with an occasional pause. The bite is fierce, awesome feel...just like a swimbait!

hah, yeah, I thought you meant what bodies of water. I plan on using it mostly as an alternative to a DD crank or to target schoolies. Mostly on humps, points and ledges. I don't see myself throwing it in less than 15 FOW.

This thing is deadly in shallow water also 3-7ft. Just follow the bait. If they are super shallow well thats where the Donkey go hee-haws will be.

If yer a back seater. I advise you don't throw it unless you don't mind tearing off. You'll not only lose $30 bucks, but you'll lose your reputation as well.

Top Shelf 4" hollow bellies and better yet I can multi task them as a drop shot, shaky and chatterbait trailer.

I've been using those custom poured turtles that have a pretty good weedguard. I just crawl them back in as slowly as I can. I think it looks like an invading army to the bass and makes them MAD.

If you really want to get some of those turtles - this is the link to the pourer: www.customteenageninjamutantturtlebasssnacks.com
