Ok guys we managed a few trout in the surf this morning all on fish bites. The surf is muddy but really has calmed down and looks glassy just off the beach. Wento spl yesterday and something was hitting the water real hard in about a foot of water over some grass. Il post back

I'm looking to fish in the evening Thursday (after 9 PM) and Friday evening as well. If you are still looking for someone to join you and you are interested in fishing the piers or jetties, let me know.

I fished the bridge at SLP this morning. The water was sandy green. Everyone was catching limits to half limits. My neighbor and I culled 10 of our best. We had 5 over 20 inches. There were a few caught by wade fishermen on the Galveston side of the pass. Croaker and shrimp did the trick.

I really don't like the morning tides for the remainder of the week. We only had a .3 ft incoming this morning. It was enough to move the bait, but I don't like to fish less than that.
The water was fine. Everyone caught fish. Bait shrimp was the best I've had all year on a really good year in that area. We called Bridge Bait just after they had sold their last croaker. The guy next to us had the croaker from there. He limited by 8:30 and started giving fish to the guy next to him in the surf, or whatever you call the banks of the pass.

....Tuesday morning the birds were tearing it up on the beachfront just west of 61st. Had some friends from another site that were wading limit out with 20's+ in about 45 minutes just east of Sea Isle on the first gut at daylight.
...so good it tastes like it died screaming!

Well guys I just returned home from vacation. Good to see some of you had good luck because I didn't..Lol the hardheads this past week made we want to never put a line in the surf again. Even the big shark rigs I had out would hook a hardhead before I could leave them out long enough to do any good. So as far as inshore goes about 6 whiting 1 trout and 5965576955065005 hardheads. I was kinda bummed since I left without catching a red or two. Offshore on the other hand was wonderful. Came back with several nice king fish, a Dorado, Some nice mangrove snapper and I also landed two beautiful red snapper about the size of the ones shown in Bluewave mikes sig. I also learned a VERY important lesson this week. My buddy wanted to go check that pleasure pier thing where the old Flagship hotel used to be and since that whole side of the island is jammed with tourist and weekenders it was either park and walk 2 miles or park in the Wendys parking lot and ignore the "towing enforced" signs posted every 5 feet. If I remember correctly I was to caught up in this girl in a thong riding a bike..But anyways when we got back I almost dropped dead because my grandmothers van was nowhere to be seen..Then I read the signs and then the constable guy told me it was towed and finally I called the A1 sand dollar wrecker place to find out it was gonna cost me $291.11..And now I'm pretty much broke. So yeah this wasn't the best trip to the coast I've had. Lol!
