So my next door neighbor Mark, whom like me also works from home, calls me to go fishing at 5:30. I was like well I was going to work on a report, cook something and what time again? So we headed out to a spot that's been producing and it was on. Something hit me tonight. Say out loud on the lake that everything is catch and release tonight and the fish will be fighting over your slab! We caught some magnum sandies and then bam I hit three hybrids. Man did this ever beat working on a report! So we headed down to sweet-16 and Mark nails a nice hybrid and a little bit later he lost another right at the boat. This all happened so fast almost didn't take any pictures but did get 3-shots. We must have thrown back 30 huge sand bass. Was cloud cover and not a lot of boats so that helped. what is sweet 16?

Glad you got out there for a bit Frank! I feel a Ghengis lunch coming our way soon!

It's a spot down by the dam on the eastern side of the lake. Most call it the gravel pit. If you have a map built into your graph it will show it. It's a hump that comes up to 16-feet hence the sweet 16 name. Good place in the summer as the water heats up. Morning and evening are best. The fish come in to feed from the deeper water then go back. Be careful when it hits 28 feet around it- there are trees down there...
