This event could go along way towards our association's goal.

Perfect on the link. We would want to have that in place for sure in case Ray Sasser gives us any press. Great idea on the NNO. I sat and talked to Jamie and crew from TPWD when they came to our last NNO. Also Pat suggested another breakfast at the dock on the thread about our breakfast. Except next time it would be a fundraiser and we would use name tags... It's a great thing when Americans put their heads together!

when exactly is the NNO?

i have an idea for the booth thing.

The site is live, we just have not pushed it. Just waiting on the word. Set up a paypal account and point the links to it. The lower the obstacle (easy ways to pay) the more click throughs and donations. With your optimizing skills (Plano Sooner) we should really zing.

See this link for http://www.natw.org/nno/ Lakeside Village (right behind Harbor Bay) particpates in this event. TPWD sets up with their display, police, sherriffs and medical responders are here for the event, we have a good turn out. I am president of our HOA, we should not have any problem getting a spot. We will need someone who sets up booths really nice.
We even have a medical helicopter response team fly in...

Mr. Chilton, thanks for the concerns sir. Jackson filed the RHSA 501c3 non profit org paperworks abt two months ago and it has been approved a couple of days ago. The oficer names are on the there with Jackson as President, John Varner as secretary and I am the treasurer.

We officers will open the bank account this week. Us three live about 25-30 miles apart but we'll hook up and get it done!

Fishboy Frank has volunteered to tackle the last item you mentioned. Thanks again for your Platinum donation!! smile

Todd

All- I already heard back from Ray Sasser! Here's the response:

Thanks Frank. I believe you're doing the right thing. I don't see the state's financial situation improving anytime soon, though it wasn't the cause of this year's hybrid production problems. I think you'll do well because you're a suburban lake and lots of Dallas-area people appreciate the fishing there. I'll try to give you a plug on Sunday, ray

Writing Ray back and providing our web site. So hopefully we will have the bank account and be live for donations in case we get a plug in this upcoming Sunday paper. Also inviting Ray to come speak at one of our meetings if possible. We can meet at my dock again or go to Allure etc. Would be cool if he would come out. Making progress! Hope we make Sunday's paper...

Thats wonderful progress. You guys are a blur of activity. I'll come up with an auction item as well and help out where I can.

Great going guys. I'm back and ready to hit the ground running. I've gotten our articles of association over to Frank just now.

I'm heading over to Capital One on Wednesday afternoon to get the paperwork started and I think Todd and JV are signing on Thursday. Then we should be ready for the online donation aspect with PayPal.

A mention from Ray Sasser would be so cool!

See you boys soon,

Jackson

Jackson I wrote Ray back this morning and included our web site. I'll be running out to get the paper early this coming Sunday to see if we got a mention! Thanks for sending the paperwork. I can get to work on the letters to Bass Pro etc. now. I will tell Bass Pro to pull just my account up and see how much I spent locally in the past year and that I pretty much fish Hubbard exclusively. I would hope they see the benefit in joining in with us, their best customers. Also extended an invite to Ray to come speak to us. Will see what he says...
