Been night fishing on Toledo now for 3 months. I have had some bad nights of hardly any bites, and have had some amazing nights of stringers over 27lbs. This past Friday night I went pre-fishing, and had 4 fish for close to 21lbs on 2 spots. Now im no rookie to pre-fishing, and once i got one in the boat and had just another bite I would leave the area. So Saturday night(tournament night) I'm all pumped.

Then it happens! First spot, nothing. Second spot nothing.
ok........ok maybe let the moon get up alittle and then it will kick on.........NOPE! 7pm-7am with a 30 min. break to eat a sandwitch, and a 4 fish limit for 8lbs!!!!!!!!!

I know it happens to everyone, and thats fishing, but man that chaps my you know what!!!!!

This has been the season of good planning gone bad for me, and just needed to vent.

Man that sucks. Better luck next time. Like the old song says,

I have been snake bit like this all year! It's mind boggling.

That's always frustrating, especially when you KNOW they are there.

ive learned over the years of fishing toledo at night that if you have a good spot, then work it over good! and i mean real good. ive hardly had times at night on toledo when you pull up and just started putting them in the boat one after the other like you can do in the day time. Now this mostly pertains to grass fish on that lake. Which by the looks of your pic is what you were concentrating on. Ive put alot of good stringers together at night over there by simply working a 50 to 75 yard stretch of grass ALL night long and fishing slow. Now deep fish are a different story.
