The wife and I headed to Lavon for the weekend with the kids and the weekend started out a little rough. We got all the way to the camp site and I realized that I forgot the tools to pop the camper up so we had to head all the way back to Mesquite. Needless to say the wife was a little upset Got up the next morning and headed out on the water. I wanted to get out there and play with the new iPiliot to try and figure it out. Man it was windy! Saw Carey out there crappie fishing, but didn't want to bug him. Did talk to him later though. Good talking to you! Tried a few areas and just couldn't get a bite. Finally found them holding by the Baptist camp so I stopped and caught a few. I had to leave them and head back to camp to cook breakfast for the fam.


Now for the idiot part...

We had a group coming out for the afternoon to hang out on the boat and just swim. We had our family (wife, me, 3 little boys) and another family also with 3 kids on the boat. I got the boat launched and pulled up to the dock to go and move the truck. I looked out and could see an orange flag waving, which I knew what that meant. I quickly headed back to the tuck and moved it, got back in the boat and headed toward them. I saw probably 10 boats fly past them like they were just in their way ! Even saw a jet ski slow down by them and then just gun it. I pulled up next to them and it was a couple with their 2 little kids on the boat and his batteries had died! Really!!! No one could stop and help someone with kids!!! I towed them back to the dock and helped him get his boat on the trailer. The wife came over and hugged my neck and tried to give me money. I told her: "Maam. Take that money and get you some new batteries so you can get these kids back on the water." She was so stunned by my response. I guess after seeing all the other boats just fly by them that they thought everyone out there was an a$$.

That is all... Just had to vent. I know some people are just iditos, but when you do that to people with kids in the boat you need to sink...

When I tow people in and they try to pay me, I tell them, "To pay me in full you have to help out ten people whether on the water or not without payment." At sometime every one is going to need help on the water. We need to watch out for each other.

Just tell them to pay it on forward (not back) when they see someone in distress and needing a helping hand. If you're too busy to help someone who needs it, then you're just too dayum busy and your priorities need re-evaluated.

I hope if I ever need help on the water I get you instead of the idiots...Your a good person!!

Nice work sir. I had to be towed in March after sitting for an hour. Got to pay it back about 3 weeks ago on Hubbard for a family. I can't imagine driving right by someone that is stranded.

Dub. I am in a solid white Bay Liner with a trolling motor mounted on the front. Probably the only one out there with an iPilot on the front . If I see ya out there I will stop by. We are usually on Hubbard, but I like Lavon because there aren't as many people out there.

SeaPro. Everything is done for Him. The group that was with me was our life group from church. I am always willing to help people that need it. It is just how I was raised. Never want anything in return! It was a blessing to me to see the smiles on his kids faces and the sigh of relief on his wifes face when we showed up.

WMA. I am starting to get the hang of this thing . Never owend an inboard before so its all kinda new. The boys absolutly LOVE the boat and the wife enjoys the radio.
