I'm headed to Lake Lewisville bright and early tomorrow morning. What should I throw first? Give me your suggestion and I'll throw it for 30 min in the morning. If I catch something on what you suggested I'll send you a dozen Titleist ProV1 golf balls,a Titleist glove, and a fresh, you guessed it, Titleist hat!
I'm looking for lots of suggestions even though there will only be one winner. I'll choose the pre-winner tonight before I go to bed and I'll update for everyone tomorrow afternoon. Please include as many details as possible and a location in your suggestion, i.e. Try a 10" power worm Alabama rig in bubblegum at the boat ramp, but don't send that one...I've already tried it!
Thanks and good luck, to both of us!

I throw the stanley bull ribbit for the first half hour regardless of location or condition... I do not know why, but sometimes it is great.

Ok, big frog. That is a good thought, what is your go to color and what depth? Would you stay near the bank if there is no grass?

You fish right at dawn? If so throw either a single colorado spinner-bait with black chartreuse skirt OR a red-eye shad in gold-sexy shad.
Love top-water but you'll catch more fish in the first 30 minutes with one of those two.
Any rip rap you have fished before will do. If you choose the spinner-bait then start with a slow retrieve. Slow enough to make sure you feel it bumping off the rip rap and hold on. If the red-eye shad its 5-7 fast cranks raise the rod tip and stop reeling for a count of 2 and repeat.

Dont throw anything first two hours... UNLESS you see some topwater bait fish action... idle around some main lake areas and look for fish on your graph...

Well riprap looks like it is taking the lead for structure and it's close between cranks, frogs, and slow spinnerbaits...anybody else out there to chime in and shake things up?

Got my jigs and worms ready for later in the day, looking' for that early bite to get things going. Saw a lot of guys under the 35 bridge about 11:00 saturday, probably headed there when the sun gets up.

I pick color by the first bag I pick up and fish them tight to the rocks because there is no grass...
