Fishing lures are made to catch fishermen not fish. Most of them work pretty good. Greenhorns are like Bass. They would stay out of trouble it they would learn to keep their mouth shut! But the Greenhorn is correct on this one. Dem lures is like Gold- eyes begin poppin when ya see all that bling hangin right in front of yer eyes- it's like eating tater chips - ya just can't stop at 1.....

ChrisR you are not alone!
The boat is stuffed, the garage stuffed, oh spare room - just get rid of the furniture and yeah fill it with more fishing stuff, under the bed more tackle, and the plastic storage bins are organized and labeled.
I can not blame my husband it is usually me. I just thank god we both love to fish...

I still have bags of worms that I bought back in the 80's that I have not used and I still keep buying them. I have a 13 year old grandson that is into fishing big time and I am sure he will put them to good use.

Just thought....I fish with Ronnie Kelley a bunch...I always call him a few days before and ask what's he's catching them on? Ask should I pick a few packs up? He always says no I've got tons...well I still go buy a few packs of what he said...and about 5 more that are close....

I try to keep it to a minimum and buy only proven colors and baits. I only purchase when I need to re-stock. It's a lot easier to justify buying another few bags of super flukes because I fished through my last 4 bags than it is to stomach the bill from BPS, Academy, etc for the 10 junk baits I didn't need and won't use. Keep the colors simple and specialty items to a minimum.

Sometimes, I think all the lures on the rack are more suited to catching fishermen than fish. "Oooo, look at this new crank bait paint job. Gotta get that one."

It helps get me in the zone. Or that's what I tell myself. My wife is catching on though. A trip to BPS EVERY TIME you go fishing? Why?
