I was looking at some #'s earlier. In 3.3 years, I should be at 400,000 the rate I'm driving. Will probably hit that mark a little earlier than that. I can only imagine that as the kids get older the more road trips we will be taking. Hope the ole truck last that long. I would be more than pleased if I could get 500,000 out of this truck. < That would be great.

Keep doing maintenance and it will go a long time, it already has. At the point something big breaks, you can have the engine or tans rebuilt for less than the down payment on a new one, so as long as your happy driving it you can economicaly keep it on the road... least thats how it works in my head.

I got a good buddy that just got a new Ram 3500, with the 6 speed manual. I took it for a little spin. I shouldn't have done that. I feel "the itch" setting in now....

Do what my wife tells me to do. "Take an Asprin"
However it never really worked just prolonged the agony.

Feel your pain, I dreamed about a 1-ton cummins with a 6-speed all my life, love them. Finally bought one, then got engaged to a girl who couldnt drive one... for the safety of the truck and her safety I sold it and bought a 1500 z71 and im I loved the cummins and will have another some day!

My 01 F-250 had 306K when I sold it. Still going strong. The 7.3's are bulletproof if you take care of them

I wish I could drop my cummings into a Ford. If they would do that, I bet that truck would be on back-order for at least 5 years.

Keep doing maintenance and it will go a long time Wish that applied ta this POS DuraMax Dad's d-max(i do maintenance on it) is an '04 model with about 140-150K on it now. Truck is in great running condition, only thing we have done to it is replaced the tach in the instrament cluster, the serpentine belt, oil and trans fluid changes and a bad o-ring where the fuel filter hooks up, no compalints.
