Well i finaily got back to the real world and wanted to tell you about my trip. I meet up with Mark and Ellie ( a guide for Duranglers and his dog) at 7:30 Monday morning at there shop. we had a good little talk about where we wanted to fish and what i wanted to do. After this talk we decided to stay in town and do a little wet wadding. we got out on the river and he reviewed how to nymph fish since i am only about 6 months in to this fly fishing thing. after a few mini lessons we started to fish. the first fish was some kind of sucker fish that they have there and i put up a really good fight. after awhile and a hand full of 5 to 7 inch rainbows i hooked a good sized brown. that fish ran about 1 and a half feet from the guide and he said Really good fish let it run. that is exactly what it did it ran right under a rock and broke me off. Mark said that it was in the 23 to 24 inch range. maybe blowing smoke but i saw him and he was a lot bigger than the 2 good browns we landed later. but after that we landed a couple of 19 plus browns and a 14 inch rainbow. in all it was a great day and learned a lot. heres a video i took with my friends Go pro (i really need one and this is the first one they came out with. so i can only imagine what the HD on looks like) . I had never used as you will see and it is my first time trying to edit a video. we just went to a mac so there is another learning curve all to it own. this is the smaller brown that we landed and i really need to learn how to hold a fish so you can see true size. mind you it was around 19 inch but i am 6'5 and 265 so i tend to make it look a little small. also i can not make it mobile ready for some reason enjoy [video:youtube] www.youtube.com/watch?v=pqKp9awM88E [video:youtube] [video:youtube]v=pqKp9awM88E[/video]

Was his name Mark Engler? I used him in the past-- interesting character.

Mark told me once used to tie San Juan worms to his boot laces to see if he could catch trout with his feet while wading the San Juan.
