I'm feeling a bit snarky today, so... These questions get asked all the time, so I thought I would just save everyone some time.

Best Rod=Seriously, you have to ask. Dobyns! Hands down, no question (unless of course you were following TFF when Falcons were the best rods ever)

Best Reel=You may as well tie line to a coke can than to fish anything but the new Lew's. No wait, or is it the Revos. No it's the pre-embargo Shimanos.

Best Mono=Are you seriously still using mono? I guess it does work fine with the coke can. Carry on.

Best Flouro=There's really only one answer here...Invisx. You'll love it. It performs just like mono.

Best Braid=Does it really matter? You'll break your rod long before you will break that 120lb rope you spooled up.

Best Squarebill=Who's won the most money fishing professionally? KVD. But of course the TFF is Strike Kings R&D department.

Best Worm Color=blue fleck, unless, of course, you live in Texas, where everyone knows it's watermelon red.

And finally...(buckle up)
Best Boat=Ranger! (Even though I've heard they're in bankruptcy) Everything else is a couple of 2x4s held together will bailing wire--unless it's a Nitro, and everyone knows that they cut corners on the bailing wire and just use kite string.

You're right. I forgot about...

Fishfinder=Well, if you want to WIN tournaments, Lowrance. If all your doing is dragging your kid around on a tube, Humminbird should work just fine.

Nothing wrong with a good humor post. Our request to cut back on sarcasm relates to good information related posts being derailed by sarcastic posts. We've definitely seen a difference lately - thanks to everyone!

The solution to any problem - work, love, money, whatever - is to go fishing, and the worse the problem, the longer the trip should be. --John Gierach

I thought the color was tomato and red bug shad...

but PS, My bailing wire and 2/4's sure look good running by those pretty bankrupt Rangers.
