Hey everyone. I'm a teacher and have to head to back to work in a few weeks. No boat here and was wondering if someone might be able to point me in the right direction for some cats from the bank on Lavon or Hubbard. I'm a catfish novice and was just gonna get some range cubes to bait a spot and use punch bait. I've read some of the other posts on here and that seems to work for others. Not looking for anyone's honey holes or anything. Not sure what makes a good spot or how to choose one. Really just want to wet a line and catch a fish before the schoolyear starts up. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

Let me know if you would like to wet a line. I have Mon-Tues off the next two weeks we can go out in my Boat on Hubbard ,or Lavon .Twok would be better for me night or early am best.

I frequent Hubbard regularly,and am willing to go with if ur interested...I use fresh shad,but as of now do not have a net...if u got one would be totally down to go get some bigguns...if not, I will invest soon...let me know if interested...just know for me, has been slow from the bank.

We decided to book a trip with Capt. Larry on Lavon. Thanks anyways. Still wouldn't mind heading out there with you sometimes though.

I'm a hardcore crappie fisherman, but I'm definitely a novice when it comes to catfish, but would love to tag along with you sometimes whenever you head out to the lake. Let me know.

When are you going with Capt. Larry to Lavon?I have never personaly fished with him.I am sure you will have a great trip I have heard nothing but great things about Fishing with him.Thought sevral times about gitting on one of his party trips.Post up some pics of the trip.

Larry will put you on fish. Never fished with him, but have spoken to him on Lavon a few times. He is a good guide.

Capt. Larry definitely put us on the fish. Here are some pics. Had a good time and filled the freezer with lots of fillets. I recommend him to anyone wanting to have fun pulling in some nice blue cats on Lavon. And only $45 per person, you just cant beat it. Biggest today went 14 lbs.

Went out with Capt. Larry this morning and had a blast. I highly recommend going out on one his trips. Will be booking with him again soon!
