I have heard many of times over, that people feel rushed launching.I get like that sometimes.Only once I forgot to put my plug in.I try to take my time in the staging lanes too. They can go around me.

Jeremy E - You will have to forgive him. He probably got picked on a lot in high school and always got his lunch money taken from him. The TFF is his chance for pay back by being the "play ground bully" anonymously. You just have to look at a few of his posts including the one where he attacked you personally to realize that the guy is simply a jerk. GMB

I have one more......My bass club at home in Louisiana was putting in at the Kings Lake boat ramp on the Ouachita River in West Monroe one morning about day break for our monthly tournament. We had a rookie that wasn't part of our club get in the line that we had formed to use the ramp towing a stick steered bathtub with a custom van. The bunch of guys that I fished with could launch a boat about as fast as it could possibly be done and this guy had witnessed the first 3 guys at the ramp so he had it in his head he was going to do it to. The ramp was about 100 feet long and had a turning loop about a 1/3 of the way to the water so you drove down the ramp going forward, turned into that loop and backed to the water. The guy hit this loop going pretty fast and then started backwards. He got headed down the ramp OK but as soon as he got about half way to the water he jackknifed the haites out of his rig, caved in the side of his van, broke the tailight, bent his trailer tongue and busted the fiberglass down the bow of his boat and knocked the boat about halfway off the trailer. I actually felt bad for the guy....

I won't comment about this guy because I know that if I'm not careful I could do something equally bad. I'm still pretty new at this stuff and all it takes is to rush a little or feel rushed and

I have a Routine. I pull into the Boat ramp out of the way of any other fellow boaters. I put what i need out of the truck in the boat. Undo the Transom straps. " Retractable Straps" Put the Plug in and then pull the transom saver off. Back it in. Push the E-Brake in put it in Park and unload the boat!! Routine is important at the ramp. If your looking to buy a boat or Jet fleas do some research on safe launching............

Well you can fix stupidity with education. What you can't fix is someone that is an idiot. Your level of stupidity about something is directly related to what you have been exposed to or not exposed to. You put the truck in park and set the brake before you get out. Well sir... I didn't read all'a the post on this but.... Jest a minor correction. You can fix ignorance with education and/or experience. Sadly.... there is no known cure for stupidity!!!
It's not what a man knows that bothers me. It's what a man "KNOWS" that ain't necessairly so that has me conserned.

This one isn't even in the same ballpark as "I left the tie downs on".
