I like it for jigs and worms.I dont like it for two handed distance casting like cranks or spinnerbaits. The knob is just in the wrong place for that.I prefer a 10inch full cork handle with no foregrip for two handed casting.

The world is changed by your example, not by your opinion.

Full cork handle. I want the handle contact point to be the same over the full length of the grip.

No full grips for me. I put my non reel hand on the butt of the rod to cast and never touch the middle of my grips. That's how you generate the most leverage.
But, nothing wrong with full grips if that's what you like.
Cons - None for me Pros - shaves some weight off the rod, gives my a place to put my rod labels where the blank is thicker for me custom rods, lol.

Split grips are more ergonomic and that my own opinion.
One you build and fish with your own hand built custom rod you will fish with nothing else!

I use what I have confidence in, which is split grip.
You know the old saying
If it floats, flys, or f___s it is always cheaper to rent!
You have to decide which is more important.

I prefer split grips, especially for the weight savings. I've had 4 custom rods made for me by a local builder, and they are all split grip. I've tried cork and foam, and I prefer the cork. It provides a firm (but not harsh) grip, and it cleans easily with soapy water.

It's up to your personal preference. Split grips fit my hand well. Therefore I like em more.

Split grips rarely fit my hand. I have one bucoo split grip only because it fit. All others are full cork.

One of the biggest reasons for split grips/no fore grip is the lighter weight and less material to absorb the vibrations in the blank.

I prefer solid cork handles and no fore grip. I like the way it helps the rod's balance.
They will return one day.....all these trends go in cycles. What was old will be new again.

Hell, a little 6' rod with a pistol grip is my favorite T-rig worm rod.
You can't even hardly find a good one any more!
