the crappie wall is always a good place to start. Just get there early. I've been going the past few weekends and fishing has seem to slow down. However I've been doing more looking around lately so maybe if i kept a line in the water longer my luck would change lol

at the wall if they are busting the top, cast spoons, slabs, lures, anything to them... or you can use a slip bobber setup or a baloon rig and fish live tilapia about 10-14ft. down.

the lake is full of catfish, just close your eyes and point and find a spot, then go there! lol... take some chum and chum up some shallow spots then use a slip bobber setup in about 6 or less feet of water with Catfish Gold punchbait.

I've been fishing the Wall for mega years and hanging a ballon rig and cast netted talapia with great rewards. Throw your line towards the plant and not the lake. Let the ballon carry the bait out so you cover more water. Everything above is right on the mark. The dam works well too. Tell Rocky Racoon at the wall I said Hi. He is a real racoon and will walk up and ask you for bait. He has got to be so fat now! What a life he has! Lot's of bank folks there so be careful motoring out. Please pack out what you pack in, the pace is getting dirty. One more thing is I have no idea way they call it the crappie wall. I've never caught one there. Enjoy!

Cali used to be full of crappie (so I've been told by the 'ol timers) but after stockings of reds, corvina, nile perch, tarpon, peacock bass, stripers, etc crappie went the way of the dinosaur.

You're right jsb91010, it has nothing to do with 100 degree water. 100 degree water is not a new phenomenon to this part of Texas. We had it back in the 70s and 80s also.
