Which sites are suggested for buying parts for an '83 15 hp Evinrude???
Rebuilt it over a yr ago due to blown head gasket, bad pistons caused by overheating from deteriorated wated water line gromet that plugged intake bottom of block. Last Nov I had 8hrs completing the break-in & the verticle throttle shaft snapped busting the coil out of the flywheel at 10:30pm on LK Taw. while catfishing. Got in w/ troll motor. The new coil wires ended up rubbing bare and grounding out the spark cancelling an April trip. Sat. July 14th was about to start fishing 25' at Taw. & a dark squall line came thru and beached me for 1 1/2 hr because the recoil starter spring snapped. Watched a 19' runabout being towed come loose and end up on the rocks by damm and filling totally w/ water.
I'm not giving up. All I need is a spring for pull starer. This ole 15hp motor works good on a 12' deep v-nose jon boat. And had been used for a kicker motor down on the coast

You can get a lot of parts from NAPA. Everything in the maintenance and tune-up relm for that engine.
