Well that's encouraging news. I'll be out there Sun-Mon and give the deep water bite a shot.

Good luck! Fished tanks, creek channels, drop offs. Biggest came back in possum, hair over 4lbs. Others were all little dinks. The only grass we could find was back in 4 fingers.

If using a map card on gps be very careful! The lakes down 14 ft. Avoid going south between Huisache island and Callaghan point. You will beach your boat in shallow water.

I have no useful fishing advice for you, sorry.

Basspro99 catching fish just a little bit of a grind. It is about 107 on the water and it makes it tough on the fishermam

I grew up fishing choke a lot and know how tough that lake can be this time of year. Since I moved to the Houston area I don't get to fish choke but once or twice a year. Hopefully we can figure them out.

We didn't fair to well over the weekend. We caught some fish both Friday and Saturday but only had a couple that were the keeper size. It was fought but it was still better than being at work. Will be down there again in a few weeks.

My Bass club fished Choke this past weekend and it was tough. Only 8 folks fished with only 3 having anything to weigh. The guy who won it though had a DD weighing 11lbs 12 ozs. What a nice fish. Came very early near south shore. Second biggest of the day was around 5 lbs. only 4 others weighers for the tournament. I managed only 5 dinnks. Tough day at choke. Between the weather, low water levels, and pressure, makes Choke a difficult lake to locate fish sometimes.

That's an impressive fish. Our club will be down there Sep. 14th and 15th.
