Dangit! What I didnt say was that fish broke a glass rod in half at hookset!  I will scrounge up a pic.....

I ran into you at the gas station this afternoon, congrats on your luck today and thanks for the tip about the live bait, we didn't get a single bite today using slabs, humdingers, trolling etc. We plan on hitting it again very soon with shad.

What an awesome trip! Many thanks to Salsa, especially for extra work of getting those big shad for us.
Didn't someone say a few days ago that he wouldn't come back to this lake again? Everyone in our group agreed we definite would come back to this lake for hybrid fishing with Michael again.
We started fishing at about 7:15 and limited out by 8:30 for 5 people. The average size of the fish we released after that was actually bigger than that we kept. We only fished at one spot. Action was non-stop. Michael kept "complaining" that we kept him so busy. Actually he put us on this spot and kept everyone so busy in catching hybrids. Most of the time we could not leave our rods unattended even for 5 seconds. We quit fishing because everyone had caught so many and felt satisfied. We returned to the dock early. Michael was nice to cleaned the fish in several different ways we requested.
