I caught this guy on my 8wt flyrod. I thought I had a nice bass from the bend he put in it! He was about 11-12 inches long. I think he is a green/redear hybrid. What do you guys think?

I caught it in a pond that isn't fed or managed at all. I'm planning on going back sometimes with some ultralight tackle!

Hell of a catch! You should catch something like that on a 2wt. fly rod. I'm going to buy a 0wt or 00wt to make the smaller ones more fun, but I have a blast catching large Rios on my 2wt. My largest is between 12-13".1-2# bass are tons of fun on that small rod too.
