TFF'ers, I wish some of your regulars were around this evening on the PEANUT to witness this, but you are smart to not fish on Thurday night...the 5 or 6 of us fishing a small boil this evening could not believe our eyes when a 30 plus ft crusier came trolling through RIGHT ON TOP of the BOIL and spliting boats within 20 ft with his lady dropping a line off the back...I wish i had a pic or video to show it but was to busy picking up my jaw. It was something to see him troll upppp anddd dowwwwnnn right through the boil and group of boats.. WOW! What a site. We still caught a few despite the madness, 5 small Hybrids and a few sandies for the freeze, but he killed it for most part. Unbelievable.
Happy Fishing!

There is a reason we have trolling motors......
It is for positioning ourselves in such a way that the 'troller' will have to either slalom our boats or leave.
I personally root for the slalom....
2oz lead off the side of a pristine boat makes a dent.... so i have been told.
Set the hook..... It's free.

I have seen the suggestion mentioned a time or two on the forum to take a PIC of these "idiots" and Post them. I am going to start bringing my digital camera It has better resolution than the iphone maybe we can make out the face of the Perpetrators and start a new thread like a "Hall of Shame".

Can't fix stupid! Happens everyday this time of year no mater what lake your on. Hell people do it in the bay too. Fish are not on top but your fishing 3.5 ft of water and boat drives right by your doing 40. They got the hole bay to drive why drive by another boat? People are just stupid

best thing is a GOOD camera to catch infraction in progress & BOAT ##'s, then send info to GW. Beleive me they WILL make contact with them one way or another.

+2 Put a dent in his/her pocker book via TPW fine not the boat, that will only piss them off even more and take out the frustration on someone else!

Not sure how I would react if TPWD contacted me over someone sending them my boat numbers and a photograph of my boat. If it were a good picture, I might ask if I could keep the photograph, otherwise just tell them to have a good day. What does a good photograph and boat numbers prove or demonstrate other than someone knows how to read and write and take good photographs? Not being a SA, just wondering what grounds the TPWD would have to contact the person in the photograph or owner of the boat number reported. GMB

Perhaps groups of boats should start fishing in a ring, like the Pioneers did when they "circled the wagons" to defend against attacking Indians.

Was the boat dark blue wand white? The reason I ask is because my youngest boy and I were fishing the East I30 bridge a few weeks ago when said boat drove over to the bridge and was sounding off his horn tryin to get the truckers to honk theirs. The guy and the girl sitting on the top of the boat looked like a couple of five year olds in the back of a station wagon. That went on for about 20 minutes. After that, he went out about 300yds and started doing donuts which waked all the boats where I was at. Then, he drove back and forth down the length of the bridge 4-5 times creating these three foot swells. I know he was doing all of this on purpose. I just packed up and left to find more fish.
I remember a couple of years ago (on a Thursday night) me and about 10 other boats were sitting on surfacing fish at Roberson Park. Everything was great until this 20 something year old jackleg with two other guys and three girls in his boat and stereo turned up to 11 drove right into the middle of the school, did three donuts, flipped everyone off, laughed, and drove off. One of the guys that was with me was ready to chase him down and scrap. Wasn't worth it to me. Back then I didn't know anything about reporting boat numbers and such.
I try not to let thing lke this bother me but they do.
