Out in front of Sneaky Pete's the Game Wardens, Ranger, and Lewisville FD had a search perimeter set up and was making all of us go around them.... Doesn't look good but hopefully they find what/who they are looking for... Prayers for the family and the personnel looking for them. Got a good buddy on the FD dive squad. Gotta be a tough job...

I don't live near the Metromess but it seems that lake has more than it's share of drownings.prayers to all involved.

Sometimes what didn't work out for you, did in fact, work out for you.

Haters going to hate and believers are going to believe.

Every man has two lives,The second one starts when he realizes that he has only one.

“Hard times create strong men, strong men create good times, good times create weak men, and weak men create hard times.”

Lewisville alone probably has more drownings in one summer than some states have in a year. That lake scares the hell out of me.

It aint the lake, it's the people.

You're right. . .but they kinda go hand in hand when they're in a skiboat going 60 under the 35 bridge. But yes, once it cools off, and the summer crowd is gone, the lake is as safe as anywhere. Its just during summer - crossing it is like navigating a mine field.

It's amazing how many people go out in the lake that can't swim.

had nothing to do with crazy boaters or the lake being dangerous. a 20 yr old jumped in the water going after some equipment that fell off of the sailboat he was on and never came back up.

Very few drowning's on Lewisville are boat related. However, it can be very dangerous boating there. Way to much traffic for me out there. The drowning's usually happen at the swim beaches.

I am always scared if I jump in a lake I am going to get snagged on a trot line or a crank bait snagged in a tree, etc. I almost never jump in unless I know I am out in the open.
