Thanks everyone! Was a great trip! Will be heading back next year before my brother leaves the base and Marines for good. Lots and lots of stuff I wasn't able to do that is already on the agenda. What kind of camera did you use. Very nice pic's. Thanks for sharing. All of these were taken with my old Canon Rebel Eos. Just ordered my new camera last night, can't wait to get it in.

looks like you had a great time. did you see dog or beth? I never saw them. A few of my brothers friends have seen Dog.

Great pics my wife & I are going in Sept could ya give a little advice on what to avoid please, we've never been we are stayin at the Aston Waikiki Beach Hotel Ive heard its crazy expensive I liked to passed out when saw hotels parking is $27 a day (more to park than rental car costs a day) Also what did ya like?? Did ya do any fishin?

Nice pics Mike. Good job with the Canon. Looks like you went to the west side also.
I live in Waikiki, just a long lost Texan that found a engineering job doing the same thing i did in DFW, except at much more relaxed pace. I love it here and find it difficult to want to move back. I go back to Texas once a year to visit family, Lake Fork and have Shiner Bock!
Yes, it is expensive to live here, but you live a lot lighter than you do on the mainland. No trying to keep up with the Joneses over here! Mahalo for posting the pics. Oh yea, Next time you come, dont stay on Oahu for very long. Go to Maui,Kauai or the Big Island for as many days as you can. You talk about photo ops! Aloha

We stayed on the Marine base with my brother. That helped cut cost down a lot. We spent some time around Kailua to sandy beach, 3 days through out the week around Waikiki, a day up at north shore. I'll be back out next year around May/June to visit again. Hopefully do some off shore fishing and some inland peacock bass fishing.

I'm sure you went there too Thanks! Yeah that's where my brother us stationed. Pretty neat base. The 2 pics of the USS Missouri and the two pics of the planes were from Pearl Harbor. I'm glad I can say I saw Pearl Harbor, but will never do it again when I go back. For me, The Aviation Museum was the best part of pearl harbor.
