Been playing around fishing for Catfish on trot lines and jug lines. Had some success on trot lines at Lake Lavon the other day and finally connected with a Catfish on a Jug Line this evening. It was not a Bruiser but it still counts. While fishing, did meet another Jug Line fisherman who caught three nice Catfish; largest one is in the video. Fun stuff!

Went back out this morning and set out jug lines. Baited up with Shad and let the jug lines soak for about three hours. No Catfish, did get a little White Bass take the Shad on the Jug Line. Released it along with other fish that took a jig casted while waiting for a bite on the jug lines. Gonna have to keep at it! Today's Video.

I haven't done that in a while. I think I'm going to head to the lake this weekend and try my hand at it

Checked the trot line we set. Caught four Catfish. Two were small and were released; two were decent sized and were filleted! Measured 19" in size. Today's Video.

I don't know but have been setting Lines a while an in this heat I don't bate the hooks for day time.Fish die so quick an I wate until the sun goes down. Had alot of luck with Beef Hart for Cats.

Set a Trot Line. Used Shad, Shrimp, and Hot Dogs for bait to fish the night bite. Hoping for another Bruiser of two like last round! Today's Video.

if you are fishing the night bite on a trotline, it would be better to purchase a baitbucket at walmart and use the shrim and hotdogs to catch perch and set the lines with those guys swimming around. hook them through the back if there is not a decent current where your fishin and through the eyes if there is a current and you will catch some good ones. The big cats just cant seem to resist a perch swimming around on a leash.

Will need to give it a try... likely to get some Bruisers with Live Bait! This round caught five Catfish; largest went 19" in size. Fun stuff... much calmer winds compared to yesterday! Today's Video.
