If its going to happen,I hope it has some camping available. Its just that so many of the places I fish have been over run with folks who care nothing about the resources we have. My son and I pic up bags and bags of trash at some of my favorite launch sites only to have another pile waiting on us the next time we return. Frustrating as hell!

I'd like to see an LEO hide out and nail the people that do that.

It would be great if they had the resources to do it! Until then I will just keep picking up what I can and hope others do the same.

I hope not as well. While Ii was out last week I bet I saw at least 200 beer cans and bottles in some of the camping spots. It was rather frustrating to see.

I always leave it better than I found it. Pick up at least something.

I tubed down the Guadalupe last weekend and I was disgusted with what I saw. I initially thought that the disposable container ban was a bit extreme but now I understand why it is necessary. The amount of garbage dropped in the water was astonishing. Our group had brought extra trash bags and we were picking up what we could. Heck, we even offered to pay our friend's 11 yr old son a bounty on every piece of trash that he picked up. This kid loves money but even he got tired of picking up trash about half way through the float. Whatever happened to Ol' Woodsy Owl's advice? "Give a hoot, don't pollute."

Woodsy went away years ago, along with the Indian. 90% of people now care nothing of the enviroment. They don't recycle, throw out trash and cigarrete butts out windows. How many actually read the label on a bag of fertilizer or insecticide before they put it out. We live in a disposible world, where nothing used has value.

I have been corresponding with BRA and Texas Parks and Wildlife about putting stairs in below PK Dam. They'll get back to me...

I have often chuckled at the fact that there is one group of folks who adamantly believe the harder the access, the better the destination, and on the other side of the river, there is another group who adamantly believe the easier the access, the better the destination. This, I believe, is human nature at its divided best. I have been corresponding with BRA and Texas Parks and Wildlife about putting stairs in below PK Dam. They'll get back to me... No need for stairs at the PK dam. Hwy 16 bridge/ramp is one of the easiest put-ins in North Texas. From there, its a hop, skip and a jump upriver to the tailrace.
