Was looking at purchasing the navionics app for 10 bucks and was wondering if anyone here has used it and their thoughts...I only have a wal mart hummingbird on my boat with no gps and thought this would be nice until I can afford a better graph...that way I wouldn't be afraid to get too far away from the boat ramp on unfamiliar lakes

Thanks

Works great, and is the only GPS on my boat. Have many spots marked on Falcon and Ray Roberts. It always gets back on them and it is handy back on shore to study / plan strategy for next time.

I agree. Even if you have a GPS unit on your boat it is still nice to be able to pull up a topo graph of any body of water whenever and wherever. Spent more $10 on other fishing equipment that I use alot less.

you won't be disappointed...it's worth it just to spend some time at the house trying to located some new spots. That way you can spend more time fishing when you hit the water.

Do not get it you will waste hours and hours of your life looking at lake maps instead of being productive.....

but isn't that being productive: cool

I'm off to go get it. The only down side was I heard it burns up the battery juice pretty quickly.

It is a great app, but it does KILL your battery.

Get it. like everybody else says it is great. It does burn battery quick. If you do not record your tracks and only use it to mark way points and use for navigational purposes your battery will last a lot longer. Make sure to double click the main "real button" twice to close of of your running apps too.
