Looking for recommendations for a bass fishing guide for Sam Rayburn...I am coming to see family and would like to take my Dad bass fishing for the day. Would love to get some guides names and websites...

I would also like to film for a part of my TV Show that same day.

Looking to book a trip on August 9th, 10th, or 11th.

Stephen Johnston would be a fine choice for Rayburn or Toledo Bend. He is a very accomplished tournament angler on that lake and has been guiding for almost 20 years. He has also filmed many TV shows on both lakes. The In Fisherman, Americana Outdoors, etc...

The fishing on Toledo Bend has been better than Rayburn this year and it's not very far away so you may want to talk to Stephen about which lake is better at the time of your trip. He guides on both lakes.

WOW...I didn't think there would be all these replies...Thanks for the help. I have heard friends speak about the Texas Fishing Forum and how it is an excellent forum with great comradery. Definitely true!

I'm writing down all the info and will get the trip scheduled right away.

Texas Smoke...thanks for the recommendation of Toledo Bend...I'm very interested in either of the 2 lakes. (I never realized they were so close to each other.

Any of the guides mentioned are excellent choices for either Rayburn or Toledo Bend. I used Roger Bacon this past fall and he really knows his stuff. One of the best, if not the best fishing trip I have made with a guide.
David Truax is a nice person and knows his fishing. I haven't used him but have recently met him and enjoy visiting with him.
