 Tilt and trim not working! HELP!

Parked boat Monday..took motor of transom saver,Lowered it dwn.
Came to shop today to pick up for the weekend and motor will only raise not lower.
Brand new switch..I can hear a slight click when I try to trim down but nothing....raises fine..are they on different pumps? What can I do, or do I need to give up and put it in shop?

Sounds like a relay, there is a relay for down & a relay for up on Merc's. Try to find relays and swap out to see if it will lower and not raise. Sometimes they just need a slap or so with a screwdriver handle. Could also be one of the up/down switches.
