If you're in the thick stuff, I'd go 12-14 lbs flouro for deep cranking, possibly even 15 lbs; just re-tie often.

We use 20 red label all the time. We lose some depth but where I fish Down there 20 is needed. I tried 15 and couldn't keep from breaking off on the rock piles. And yes I grind my cranks HARD. If there is a rockpile in 7-8 foot I'm throwing a dd22 in it or series 5 making them react to it.
I can backlash toilet paper.

I used 20lb Invizx last time I was there and couldnt get as deep as I wanted. I would definitely go with 15lb.

We cranked with 25lb fluoro but we never fished deeper than 12ft. Never broke off and had no problems with the crankbait. Dd22 right in the middle of the trees. So it really depends on how deep you want to and how much structure is there. Id take 3 setups.

For fishing deep I would recommend 10-12 LB to get the most depth. I would 20LB for square bills up in the trees. Not many fish being caught out deep so I would be prpared to fish shallow in the hardwoods. I was there last week and caught them shallow on square bills and 3/4oz white spinner baits on the Mexico side right across from the county ramp.
