Made a afternoon run to Beaver's Bend last Sunday to see if I couldn't get some trouty action. Got to the river around 4pm and went to work. The crowd was light, but the fish were very finicky. Guess they got hit pretty hard that weekend before I got there. Started at spillway and picked up a few, including a pretty brown. back at home: See ya: Moved down the river a bit and talked to a nice guy who let me have one of his dries. If you are reading this, i appreciate it! Got half a dozen on that one little dry, with plenty of strike/misses. A good example: I tied on a big ugly hex dry just as the sun was setting. I had the entire run to myself which was pretty incredible. Fish started rising like crazy and I was able to make out the beginnings of a hex hatch. I couldn't see a dang thing but i had about 8-10 blowup/misses on my big dry. It was a hoot but never managed to hook up. The whole deal was short lived, maybe 10-15 minutes and fairly thin. One day, I will get that timed just right to hit the sweet spot of that hatch. Also have a few local Dallas creek bass pics that don't have a home, but felt like adding here, for your perusal.
Let us hope that the bass do not find the equivalent of the Holy Hand Grenade of Antioch.

If anyone need some primo*** dear hair lemme know. ***Dear hair may have a slight odor associated with it. It may or may not be primo, but I am sure it was very nice at some point.

Is that still laying in the Evening Hole?
And in the summer, fish the shade as much as possible at the LMF. Trout stack up in the shade there. Even if it's 6 inches deep.

Nice pics Scott!
Looks like the creek is producing good through a few different recent reports, may be time for me to get back out there!

Figured it been there awhile since it didn't even stink. Although that wasnt as bad as the egret that landed 10 feet behind me after it got dark. Bout peed myself. Thanks for the pointers, I'll have to remember that. Nice pics Scott!

That was from a little over a week ago. Bass and breams are hungry, actually was sight casting to most the bass. Carp are still eluding me, only had a couple decent shots at them with no bites.

Which Dallas creeks were you fishing? I'm new to fly fishing and wanting to find a good creek/river to fish in the Dallas area. Willing to travel about an hour but preferably not much further than that.

I added every local spot I've ever tried or even heard about. Hopefully it will be a good way to share information and encourage the sport.
