Is there an easy way to find way points? Do you mark one number with a marker bouy and then go find the other, having a hard time trying to figure it out, thanks.

The best thing is to always have at least 2 line up points on shore to get you on your spot. If it's a long area like a ridge or channel have another cue on shore to help you keep position as you move down it. It's a little bit of work but with some practice it's easy and makes it much easier to get on. Plus you don't have to worry about someone else seeing you bouy and moving in or you having to waste time pulling up after you've finished there. Time is precious.

Thanks fellas, I don't have gps on the front of my boat, so I will try the shore line, thanks again for your input and time.

If you don't want to use a buoy, then I always try to have at least 2 if not 3 visual points to line up with. You can also use water depth to help, especially if you are fishing a point.

Plus you don't have to worry about someone else seeing you bouy and moving in or you having to waste time pulling up after you've finished there. If you are worried about this part, take a cheap can of spray paint and color your buoy marker anything by yellow or orange. Odds are, no one else will ever see it. Warning - that means it's tough for you to see, too!

It just takes practice using the gps to line up on the waypoint. Then just look for the structure you are looking for and throw a buoy.

i take a medium size clear coke bottle fill it 1/2 full of water an use it as a marker bouy its a great way to hide your makers from all of the gps pirates out there.
