It was a short trip yesterday afternoon!!!!! My gas tank was short on fuel, so I could only make a short run the closest trees. Short crappies were plentiful and my time on the water was cut short with a limit. I did see an old man and his nephew out there, so I invited them to fish next to me. Our boats were two feet apart, all three rod tips on the same tree and all three of us were ripping lips. I finished up my limit and left them with it.

It was good to fish with you and keep the boy on the water.

Old man? We ended up with 39. Not bad from only fishing from 6 till 8. I'll keep them off those trees until you get back from Alaska.

That tree seems to restock itself. Don't wait on me! Brown Bear may take me out or a Alasken Crappie may pull me overboard. Did the boy stop crying about the big one that flopped off the side of the boat? Good luck.

Sorry, Bob I was trying to keep it SHORT. No pun intended. Same old lake as I always fish, Lake Lavon. Lets see, 16 foot of water, 10 to 12 feet down. All caught on a tree. Fished the evening knowing that the bright sky's would make them stack up on structure. Caught lots of short fish, sandbass and yellow bass. I think you could have caught them on any color. They just seemed hungry, I did notice that the big balls of shad that I normaly see were absent. Started off with no wind, flat as glass. Then the winds kicked up making it tough running the trolling motor and taking them critters off the hook. That's about it, nothing special. Lets go fish one day!
