I've been to Guntersville one time in the fall. We had a pretty good trip as far as numbers, caught most of our fish in 6 to 10 feet of water on crankbaits. We did catch some on frogs in the matted grass. We go to Falcon every spring. It's 13 hard hours from central AR., but worth it. I suggest you pick your buddy up in Dallas and continue on to Falcon.

Toledo Bend. Pick him up in DFW Airport or Love Field. You have about a 3-4 hour drive to the lake. Just enough time to catch up.

Yancey, I live on Caddo and fish it almost every day. We had some very low water last year and the grass did not come back as bad this year. The pads are all over the place. A good point about fishing Caddo is there are marked boat lanes to run, but when off of the boat lanes trim your motor up and idle at a slow pace. There are stumps everywhere. Also if you are on Caddo you are only a couple of hours from Fork or Toledo. If you like pitching and flipping Cypress trees you'll have a blast on main lake, but there is Big Cypress & Jeems Bayou feeding Caddo that can offer deeper water. I'm sure you and your buddy will have a good time with any lake you pick, but if you come Caddo way send me a message.

Peacock bass fishing in the Amazon with all the extras. Even if you spent 50% of the time in travel it would be worth it.

although six days would be cutting it tight, I would without a doubt have to say lake biawa in japan, not because of all the new record hype, I have come to respect those guys over there more and more after watching some of their footage on the net. and seeing how Japanese pros compete here in america. It could really get you thinking out of the box alot more once you got back to the states.

Grand lake in Oklahoma is a nice lake and would be right up your alley. It has boat docks and points all over. It can be fished shallow or deep and at night. During the summer I would fish at night on the weekends. Fish the lighted docks with worms or spinner baits. You will catch all the fish you want. If you want to get away from the crowds during the day stay above the sailboat bridge.

Another nice thing about the grand lake area is that you can be on several other lakes in less than an hour. Hudson and Gibson are part of the grand river chain. Euche is a small city water supply that is great for fishing at night. It has some giant crappie, and is full of smaller bass. I used to use this lake to learn new techniques.

I would do a fly in with Rusty Myers in International Falls MN.. Unreal fishing for Walleye, Pike and Smallies.. Times 2. Hundred fish days with lots of 2 to 4 pound smallies. Tough to beat. I like Lac Lacroix......Place called Zup's . Fly in on an "Otter" with a bush pilot. Rusty Meyers will take care of you with the transportation out of Int. Falls.
