Was up there about a month ago. I would imagine the old standbys of Caddis and Hoppers should do the trick...

I've been up twice so far this summer and am going back for an extended stay in a couple of weeks. Got a friend that's up there now and is doing really good on caddis, PMD's and hopper combos. Flashback pheasant tails were killer nymphs last month.

My inlaws own an RV park in South Fork, and I've fished all around that area. Where do you guys normally fish?

Gunnison...and lake city area...

Hooking a fish is like playing string with a cat. The exact size, shape, color of string matters less than how you wiggle it- and little cats are easier to fool than big ones. John Gierach

They own Alpine Trails RV Park.

It sounds like we fish a lot of the same creeks. Send me a PM and let me know how you do, I'll be headed up there in August.

I am headed a little past South Fork. Headed between Creede and Lake City tomorrow morning. Looks like we chose a good week to get out of Texas.
Seven days of camping with the wife at 10,000 feet, fried corn-meal-breaded brookies for breakfast and hopefully lots of action on the streams.
I will spend some time on the bigger water, but Trout Bum is right, my favorite places are where my fly rod is longer than the creek is wide.
Happy trails y'all!
