I was not happy with Chrome at all. I uninstalled it after 2 weeks. I always do that with IE anyway. Firefox is great because they filter a lot of the content and ad blocker is built in. It also is always updating so it stays on top of the changing technology. It keeps you safe and more importantly its really fast.

Now, I love google. Everything about google. I love the analytic's, et all. But Chrome was bulky and hard to use for me. To each his own. Both are better than IE though. Fire fox will just offer a little better protection. 9/10 "tech" guys will use a Mac, but if you ask them about a PC and what browser to use, they will say Fire fox.

I'm an IT guy for the State of Texas in my day job. I suggest staying clear of Google Chrome. Too many security issues, open portals into your system when in use, etc..

For a PC, Firefox and if you're running Windows 7 as your OS, then IE9 is good. Mac users, either Firefox or Safari.

A lot of how sites perform on a PC or Mac has to do with the overall settings of he browser itself. If you are using IE8 (Internet Explorer) and have messed with your browser settings at all or had "help" from someone that really doesn't know what they're doing, can create havoc for you. Or if you have added a lot of other browser add-ins that have changed it on the fly.

These "scan you pc for free" and "fix your pc via the web" places you see in ads and TV are BS. Stay clear of those too.
